Sewing Machine


A sewing machine is a machine used to stitch fabric and other materials together with thread. It was first invented in 1790 by an Englishman Thomas Saint. The machine used many different stitches. There are many different kinds of sewing machines. There are big industrial sewing machines used to sew big items like shoes, blankets and curtains. There are smaller machines for sewing at home. In the old days the sewing machines were foot machines. Today most sewing machines are electric.

Robots

Robots are machines that can be used to do jobs. Some robots can work by themselves. Other robots must always have a person telling them what to do. A robot is a machine designed to execute one or more accurate tasks repeatedly with speed. There are many different types of robots as there are tasks for them to perform. NASA is developing new robots to help people in space. One of these ideas is called Robonaut. Robonaut looks like the upper body of a person.

Heaters

Not all heaters are the same and when the the heat comes out of the heater it hits the wall and comes back to the heater because nothing can go through the walls. Heaters are very dangerous. Willis invented heaters in New York. He invented heaters on November 26th 1876, that was a long time ago.
