Sewing Machine
A sewing machine is a machine used to stitch fabric and
other materials together with thread. It was first invented in 1790 by an
Englishman Thomas Saint. The machine used many different stitches. There are
many different kinds of sewing machines. There are big industrial sewing
machines used to sew big items like shoes, blankets and curtains. There are
smaller machines for sewing at home. In the old days the sewing machines were
foot machines. Today most sewing machines are electric.
